Kiwanis notches easy win, 19-4 TRAPPE Winning pitcher Mike Delbiondo pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and went three-for-five at the plate, lifting Kiwanis 7-6 to a 19-4 Senior League rout over Trappe Wednesday. Kurt Chase chipped in with a pair of doubles for Kiwanis and Mike dwell, Chuckie Jackson and David Anthony had two hits apiece. Kevin Royer had two triples for the winners and Knopp had two RBI with a pair of hits. Chris Crouch, Mike Duncan and Eric Wilkins had singles for the Chicks. Bud Light increases lead, 15-4 EASTON Bud Light strengthened its hold on first place in the Tidewater Softball League Wednesday by routing second place Foster's Contractors, 15-4.

The winners, which blasted seven home runs, remained undefeated. Winning pitcher Kraig Knopp and Van Bowman each clouted a pair of homers. Larry Holden, Alton Cole and Larry Bryan also hit four-baggers for Bud Light. Charlie Johnson stroked a homer for the losers and Brinsfield and Danny Hughes had doubles. Southern States wins 1st, 19-12 CENTREVILLE Claire Devine and Sheila Rowley had three hits apiece Wednesday, lifting Southern States to its first win, 19-12 over the Centreville Sunshine Kids in Little League girls' Softball. Both Devine and Rowley, who homered, drove in three runs. Winning pitcher Angie Newell and Audrey Roberts had two his apiece. Sara Sullivan, Karen Callahan, Jennifer Lorah, Lori Nottingham and Karen Rowe each singled for the winners. Loretta Chilcot, Stepahnie Smith and Heather Stanley each had two hits for Centreville.

Sarah Shlade and Kelly Winstead had one apiece. Berrang evens record, wins 12-9 CENTREVILLE Calvin Rookard and Mike Correa each drove in two runs Wednesday as Mike Berrang Pontiac (3-3) edged Chesapeake Pottery in a QASL contest, 12-9. Rookard clouted a home run and Correa doubled. Ron Haddaway doubled and tripled for the winners and Judy Ireland backed the pit-i. ching of Garry Coleman with two singles.
